The CSTE Executive Board unanimously approved position statement Interim-20-ID-01 on April 5, 2023. It creates a standardized case definition for COVID-19, including asymptomatic infections caused by SARS-CoV-2, and adds COVID-19 to the list of nationally notifiable conditions.
“CSTE works to advance public health policy and increase epidemiologic capacity. We also provide information, education, training, and developmental support of practicing epidemiologists in a range of areas, as well as expertise for program and surveillance efforts.”
